Pubjab wildlife department books PML-N workers for bringing a lion to the rally
1 min readThe Punjab Wildlife Department, on Saturday, booked nine people for violating Wildlife Act rules by bringing a lion to the PML-N rally.
According to details, the PML-N workers had brought a lion, which is the party's election symbol, during the Thursday rally which was led by the PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz. PML-N worker Imdad Hussain and other accused, including Muhammad Kabir, Imran Butt, Zeeshan Butt, Aqib Qureshi, Malik Faisal, Hammad Butt, and three unknown persons, displayed the lion on the rooftop of their vehicle at Lakshmi Chowk during the rally.
The law and enforcement agency has confiscated the lion and shifted the animal to Lahore Zoo. A fine of Rs Rs80,000 has also been imposed on five people for bringing a wild animal to a crowded place.
According to the spokesperson of the wildlife department, further investigations are underway.
