ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Tuesday extended deadline for filing of income tax returns until 15th of January 2020 to facilitate tax payers.

The previous extension in the deadline for filing income tax returns expires today (December 31, 2019).

Earlier Pakistan Tax Bar Association (PTBA) has approached the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for extension in the last date for filing of income tax returns of corporate and non-corporate sectors for the year 2019 up to 31st January, 2020 in order to facilitate the genuine taxpayers of the country.

However, FBR has extended the deadline for filing tax returns until 15th of January, 2020.
