Google honours Malika-e-Tarannum, Noor Jehan on birth anniversary
WEB DESK: Decades back, on 21st September 1925, a baby girl was born. Back then, who knew that she would become 'Malika-e-Tarannum' (the Queen of Melody) later in life.Â
Noor Jehan, was named Allah Rakhi Wasai. It is privileged for us that she was destined as a Pakistani singer. Madam Noor Jehan recorded 10,000 songs in multiple languages i.e., Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi and Sindhi including 12 war songs which Radio Pakistan recorded and broadcasted during the war of 1965.
On her 91st birthday anniversary, google is paying a heart touching tribute to Madam Noor Jehan by dedicating her doodle on their home page.
Along with this, google is has also given a link which enable fans and people across globe to learn more about her life and success as a singer.
Malika-e-Tarannum, Noor Jehan closed her eyes and left us on Dec 23, 2000. Her sad demise was indeed painful for her family and associates but she still lives amongst hearts through her melodious songs.
