WEB DESK: The Desi girl of B-town, Priyanka Chopra has become a true inspiration. It is not just her acting but her activities that show what sort of personality she has. And, it shows she is really more than an actress.

The Raam Leela star is not just an actress but also associated with UNICEF and is surely a peace lover and recently we got a chance to witness her impressive personality trait. She attended UN Global Goals Awards where she talked about peace, empowering girls and met youngest goodwill ambassador of UNICEF, Muzoon Almellehan.

In the words of Mahatma Gandhi… “If we are to teach real peace in this world, and if we are to carry on a real war against war, we shall have to begin with the children.” It was an honor to speak at the UN Global Goals Awards on the importance of empowering girls; addressing global leaders and influencers from the United Nations, philanthropy, media, non-profits and business. We all need to come together and work to empower, educate, create opportunities and impart skill sets so that we can be their catalysts for change and to help them build their brave new world. If possible, a safe one where they can live their dreams and laugh together as one.  I had the opportunity to meet @muzoonalmellehan, @unicef’s youngest goodwill ambassador, who is doing such amazing work advocating education for Syrian girls. All in all, this was a very inspiring and uplifting night. #GlobalGoals #UNGA #ForEveryChild Please swipe for more.

Also, PeeCee shared a photo with Malala Yousufzai. Their meet up was surely productive and an inspirational sight for girls as both ladies possessed strong will, determination and willingness to empower women across globe.Oh did we mention Malala's father reminded Priyanka so much of her own dad?

I could write a novel about how smart, incredible, inspiring, encouraging and funny this young woman is...but I will keep it brief. Malala, you are an undeniable force to be reckoned with. The world knows that. You are a role model to all the girls and boys that want to make this world a better place for the future. Spending a few hours with you and your incredible father Mr. Yousafzai ( who reminds me so much of my father) , I realized you're also just a young girl with young dreams. Your jokes, Your love for Hindi Films, your infectious laughter will always remind me of what a huge responsibility you have taken on at such a tender age.. I'm so proud to know you my friend. You inspire women like me all over the world. Can't wait to speak to u in our secret Hindi/Urdu again. ❤️ A post shared by Priyanka Chopra (@priyankachopra) on

Moreover, at first she showed her sensitive side when she met Syrian refugees in Jordan. It wasn't just a meeting but she felt their pain and encourages everyone to support a good cause. In a picture she shared on Instagram, she addressed everyone in detail.

This is Ammar(5), Ayat(8), Sulaiman (5 months) Wardshan(9) and they have an elder brother Saleh(10) who works at a grocery store to help supplement the family income, for only 2 Jordanian Dinar (that's less than $3 USD.) Their father is a day laborer. Sulaiman needs a 2nd surgery because he has a clot in his nose. The family moved from Syria to Jordan 5 years ago. When I asked their mother what would be her wish...considering the war hasn't ended, she said "if we can't go home all I want is for my kids to get an education so they can fend for themselves when they are older and help rebuild Syria. We are blessed, we have enough to survive...others have much less." They didn't even have furniture in their home. The largesse of heart and compassion she had through her tears moved me to pieces. Being a popular figure on international level the Quantico star met known personalities like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Queen Rania of Jordan.

I had the privilege and honor of meeting Her Majesty, @queenrania of Jordan again...this time in Amman. It is amazing to see the full extent of support that the Kingdom of Jordan has provided during the ongoing Syrian refugee crises. The numbers are staggering and overwhelming but the good work continues day after day. Queen Rania is a true inspiration. Her tireless efforts to help those in need comes straight from the heart and has always been consistent.. as a UNICEF Eminent Advocate for Children, she leads by example as is so evident by the countless programmes for children that she is involved in. She does this all with such grace and calm. The meeting and our discussions, further reiterated my commitment to to help children the world over... because every child matters, no matter where they come from. I'm looking forward to meeting her again at the United Nations General Assembly in NYC next week which we both will be speaking at. Thank you Jordan for the hospitality and I will see you again.. 🇯🇴 To support the work that @unicef is doing, please log on to www.unicef.org #MissionForChildren #ChildrenUprooted #PCInJordan
