Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Saturday took a direct swipe at Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as the latter is all set to speak at the four-day annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) scheduled to begin on Jan 17 in Davos, Switzerland.

Declaring Sharif's decision to attend the annual meeting of the WEF a `supreme irony', the PTI chief said that Sharif's 'vast experience in white collar crime' probably qualifies him to speak at the moot.'

In a twitter message, he stated: "the only thing which qualifies the prime minister is his vast experience in corruption and money laundering. Nawaz Sharif is off to Davos, at taxpayers' expense again, where the theme is anti-corruption," he added.

Besides, the PM Sharif, former army chief Gen Raheel Sharif has also been invited to the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum. He will address the session titled 'Terrorism in the Digital Age.'

Gen Raheel, who retired in November last year, would also highlight Pakistan Army's counter-insurgency operations and improved security environment in the country as well as in the region.

A record 3,000 participants, coming from all continents, will be attending the event being held on the theme of 'Responsive and Responsible Leadership' and over half of the programme's 400 sessions will address strategies for fostering greater social inclusion and human development.
