Former caretaker Prime Minister Moin Ahmed Qureshi passed away
WASHINGTON: Former caretaker Prime Minister Moin Ahmed Qureshi Passed away in Washington due to prolonged illness, funeral prayers will be offered in Marry Land, US, Aaj News reported. Â
According to family sources, the deceased, 86 year old, was suffering of serious lungs affliction. Qureshi left two daughters and two sons behind.
Sources revealed that the late caretaker had done M.A in Economics and completed PhD from Indiana University. He was the 16th Prime Minister of Pakistan who served as a Prime Minister in 1993 after the exterminate of Nawaz Sharif's first government.
He served as Prime Minister of Pakistan from 18 July 1993 to 19 October 1993 reportedly.
In 1960, Qureshi served as an Economic Advisor in Ghana. He had worked as an Executive Vice President of IMP from 1974 to 1977.
The deceased served as the President of World Bank from 1981 till 1987 as well.
