PCG recovers 32 kg of charas

KARACHI: The Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) has recovered 32 kg of charas from the secret cavities of a speed boat.    

A PCG statement here on Sunday said that on a tip off the PCG checked speed boats anchored at the coast.

It said that during checking, the PCG staff recovered 32 kg of charas and 347 packets of `Indian Gutka' from the hidden cavities of a speed boat.

The narcotics were stated by worth Rs. 50 million in international market and that it was to be smuggled to Middle East.

The PCG impounded the speed boat, the statement further pointed out.

It said that the Director General of PCG, Brig. Atiq ur Rehman, has appreciated the performance of the Jawans and announced cash prizes for them.

He hoped that the PCG staff would continue to work with same zeal in future as well. –APP
