MANCHESTER: England were 210 for two after winning the toss at tea on the first day of the second Test against Pakistan at Old Trafford on Friday.

Alastair Cook, the England captain, was out for 105 off what became the last ball before tea when he was bowled off an under-edged by a Mohammad Amir delivery that kept low.

Together with Joe Root (87 not out), he put on 185 for the second wicket.

Pakistan lead the four-match series 1-0 after their 75-run win in the first Test at Lord's last week.-AFP
