68-year-old man died while watching Hollywood horror movie ‘The Conjuring 2’ at a cinema hall in Tamil Nadu, India, late on Thursday. The dead body along with his friend (who brought the body to the hospital) has also gone missing.

Two men visited the Cinema to watch the Hollywood movie ‘Conjuring 2’ on Thursday. After watching the movie, one of them fainted, while the other tried to revive him. The elderly man who lost consciousness was immediately rushed to a government hospital in Tiruvannamalai where he was declared ‘brought dead’, Indian media reported.

The person accompanying the dead reacted after he was pronounced dead. The paramedic staff at the hospital asked him to take the body to Tiruvannamalai Government Medical College Hospital for Post Mortem. But the person vanished with the body instead. Cops are now trying to establish the identity of the dead man, the report added.

Since no complaint was lodged, police can’t inquire into the issue. A source in the theatre said the duo was drunk.

The Conjuring 2 has already grossed more than $104 million worldwide since its release in early June. The film is a sequel to ‘The Conjuring’ released in 2013.
