ANP calls APC against proposed changes in Kashgar-Gwadar project
PESHAWAR: President Awami National Party (ANP) Asfandyar Wali Khan has convened an All Parties Conference (APC) against proposed changes in Kashgar-Gward Highway project on February 17 in Islamabad.
According to a spokesman for ANP all the main political parties would be invited to the APC wherein a joint consensual political strategy would be chalked out against making any change in the project.
The National Youth Organization, a component of the ANP has been issued necessary instructions to this effect, he added.
Central political leaders Mehmud Khan Achakzai, Mir Hasil Bizenjo, Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao and JI have been contacted while contacts with other parties are in progress.
The ANP considered Kashgar-Gwadar Highway and Trade Corridor an important project for the Fata and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as both these areas have been deprived of infrastructure and industrial development and as such lagged behind rest of the country in all spheres of life.
