Three persons drawned in the flood in Chiniot

CHINIOT: As many as three persons including a woman were washed away by flood water in Chiniot on Monday, Aaj News reported.

According to rescue sources, the incident occurred in Sapra Colony area of flood-hit Chiniot where three persons including a woman drowned in the flood water.

The rescue team has recovered bodies of the woman and a man while the search for the third victim is still underway.

Police told that the victims included a man, his wife and brother.

Meanwhile, a heavy deluge of 800,000 cusecs water would pass from River Indus at the site of Chachran Sharif between Sept 10-11 in the light of which evacuation from adjacent river areas has started.
