Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Two ships carrying containers were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal respectively. Meanwhile six more ships carrying cement, canola seed, steel product and chemical also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 75% at the Port on Thursday where eight ships namely OOCL Kobe, Lilly Schulte, Ikan Parang, Sea Glory, Chem Road Wing, Moon Light, FSL London and MT. Polaras are currently occupying berths to load/offload Containers, Crude Oil, Cement,Chemical, Canola Seed and Edible Oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 83158 tonnes comprising 57023 tonnes imports and 26135 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1654 containers (TEUs) were handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
