"India blamed Pakistan for Mumbai attacks without any evidence" - Malik

ISLAMABAD: Advisor to President over Interior matters, Rehman Malik stated that India blamed Pakistan for Mumbai attack without any evidence. He further added that non-state actors are involved in terrorism within India. Malik made this statement addressing a media statement on Wednesday.

Further talking about the Mumbai attacks, Malik asked Indian authorities to clarify the involvement of three Indian nationals within the Mumbai attacks. "Why were Indian nationals Faheem Ansari and Zabeehuddin (both involved in Mumbai attacks) liberate," inquired Malik.

Malik added that Indian authorities have always been keen in accusing Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) over different issues with any concrete evidence. He said that attacks on Ajmer Sharif and "Malay" village were both blamed on ISI, which later proved to be baseless accusations. Malik also said that the "Samjhota Express" fiasco was also blamed on ISI which later proved to have Indian involvement.

With respect to Sarabjit and Surjeet Singh, Malik stated both the cases were "different in nature" and hence could not be linked together. He said that Sarabjit Singh's summary was never sent to the President in the first place. Talk about Surjeet Singh, Rehman Malik added that Surjeet had completed his jail term and would be sent to India via the Wagah border within the next 48 hours.
