Bollywood Star Saif Ali Khan was arrested on charges of assaulting in Mumbai on Wednesday.

A case of assault was registered against Saif on the basis of a complaint filed by a man who accused him and his aides of breaking his nose after a scuffle inside the Taj Hotel.

The victim Iqbal Sharma approached the police claiming that he was attacked by Khan and his friends, during which, he was punched by the actor, senior police inspector of Colaba police station Vinod Sawant said.

Saif Ali Khan was arrested at his lawyer's chamber in south Mumbai's Nariman Point and been taken to the Colaba police station. He will be booked under Section 325 of the Indian Penal Code (voluntarily causing grievous hurt), a bailable offence.
