Opposition unanimously decides to avoid confrontation: Nisar
Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday appraised the parliament that all opposition parties in the lower and upper house had unanimously decided to avoid confrontation among institutions and opposed any unconstitutional step.
Speaking in National Assembly, he said that Pakistan Muslim League(PML-N) and other opposition parties were not seeing at forces outside theparliament. "We will not welcome any unconstitutional step", he said.
Chaudhry Nisar said the opposition had not been informed about the purpose of summoning the session of National Assembly.
He said opposition would not allow using the parliament for personal and political agenda and will 'use certain available options in such a case.'
Leader the Opposition reminded the government of unimplemented resolutions of the parliament and cautioned that mistakes of elected people may lead to derailing the system.
In reply to opposition leader speech, Federal Minister for ReligiousAffairs Khurshid Ahmad Shah said that the session of the National Assembly was convened to thoroughly discuss important national issues.
He said the government wanted to unanimously approve a resolution, seeking parliamentarians support in favour of strengthening democracy.
