US welcomes Pakistan's new Ambassador Sherry Rehman
The State Department on Monday said it welcomes Pakistan's new ambassador to the United States as Ambassador Sherry Rehman began her assignment as Islamabad's top diplomat in Washington.
State Department Spokesperson VictoriaNuland said that US officials look forward for discussing bilateral relations with the new Pakistani envoy.
According to Pakistani officials, Ambassador Sherry Rehman was a parliamentarian before her nomination as envoy toWashington.
The US Ambassador, Sherry Rehman will meet with the State Department officials this week and is scheduled to present her credentials to President Barack Onama next week.
