The death toll risen to Six after a boat capsized in Lower Bari Doab Canal in Sahiwal on Monday.

According to the rescue sources, the search for the missing persons is still underway on Tuesday.

Earlier, Atleast 30 people were drowned in the canal as the boat was packed with passengers beyond its capacity, overturned in the canal.

On Monday, 17 among them  swam out and two other were rescued by the locals.

Around 28 passengers were the students of  Government college of Technology.
