German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that terrorism cannot be used to solve essentially political problems.

During a joint press conference in Berlin on Saturday evening, Chancellor Merkel mentioned the problem of terrorism and said “terrorism cannot be used to solve essentially political problems.”

"Our intention is also to talk to Pakistan regarding Mumbai attacks", Angela Merkel said.

Merkel said that India and Germany share a close strategic relationship based on mutual trust and cooperation.
