Islamabad police on Monday foiled an attempt of terrorism in federal capital, a woman taken into custody.

According to details, Islamabad police averted a major terrorist attack by seizing 130 kilogram explosive material from Toyota HiAce vehicle.

The vehicle was parked at Nika toll plaza on IJ Principle road. Police have seized the explosive material hidden in 7 cartons from the vehicle.

Police said that the explosives were being carried into Islamabad from Peshawar on a vehicle.

Police have arrested a woman identified as Amatri Bibi and she belonged to Peshawar.

DSP Jameel Hashmi said that the explosives can be used for making bomb. The case was lodged in th Sabzi Mandi Police Station.
