Israel arrests two Palestinians in Bethlehem hospital
The Israeli army on Friday arrested two wanted Palestinians who had sought refuge in a hospital near the West Bank town of Bethlehem, Palestinian security sources said.
Israeli soldiers arrested Salah al-Ahram and Mohammed Ismail Abayed, both members of the Fatah party of Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas, the source said, adding that Abayed had been wounded but providing no details.
Earlier in the day, one Palestinian youth was killed and a 70-year-old woman wounded in Bethlehem when Israeli soldiers opened fire during an incursion aimed at arresting an Islamic Jihad militant, medical sources and witnesses said.
