Chinese president arrives in India
Chinese President Hu Jintao arrived in the Indian capital on Monday for landmark talks aimed at boosting trade ties and resolving a decades-old border dispute, witnesses said.
Hu stepped off an Air China passenger jet and was greeted by Indian Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee at the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
He is slated to hold talks on Tuesday with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and then visit India's financial capital Mumbai and the Taj Mahal city of Agra, before leaving for Pakistan on Thursday.
