Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir spent Eid al-Azha with troops deployed on the western frontlines in Balochistan’s Zhob district, reaffirming that security operations would continue until terrorism is completely eradicated.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Field Marshal offered Eid prayers with officers and soldiers stationed at forward posts along the western borders.

Special prayers were also offered for Pakistan’s peace, stability and prosperity.

During the visit, the Field Marshal laid a floral wreath at the martyrs’ memorial and paid tribute to soldiers who sacrificed their lives in defence of the country.

He praised the high morale, operational preparedness and unwavering commitment of troops, saying the Pakistan Army remained fully prepared to counter all threats.

Field Marshal Munir strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Quetta and said the sacrifices rendered by the armed forces and law enforcement agencies in the fight against terrorism were unforgettable.

The Field Marshal said that the Indian-backed terrorist group Fitna al-Hindustan and its facilitators were targeting innocent civilians, adding that such cowardly acts could never weaken the resolve of Pakistan’s armed forces and the nation.

The Field Marshal reiterated that the Pakistan Army, law enforcement agencies and the people of Balochistan would continue operations until terrorism was completely eliminated and hostile designs against the country were defeated.
