Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has officially acknowledged that Israel provided military assistance to India during “Operation Sindoor” in May 2025.
The operation was part of India’s attacks on various locations across Pakistan, following a false-flag operation of the Pahalgam incident.
According to reports from NDTV World, Netanyahu confirmed that Israel supplied India with advanced weaponry, including Barak-8 missiles and Harpy drones, which were effectively used during the operation.
The missiles and drones, according to Netanyahu, performed “excellently” on the battlefield, representing a successful trial of Israel’s cutting-edge defence technology.
“The things we provided before worked very well on the field… we develop our weapons in the field and they are battle-tested,” the Israeli PM was quoted as saying by NDTV. “They worked fine and we have a pretty solid foundation.”
The acknowledgement also revealed that, in addition to Israeli weapons, India deployed the Russian-made S-400 missile defence system during its operations against Pakistan.
The Harpy drones were used to target enemy radar systems, while the Barak-8 missiles played a crucial role in defending against aerial threats.Despite the Israeli and Indian military cooperation, Pakistan’s response proved to be formidable. The country employed advanced defence strategies and technology, effectively neutralising India’s aggressive attempts and thwarting its ambitions.
The revelation comes at a time when tensions between Pakistan, India, and Israel are under intense international scrutiny.
Analysts suggest that this statement from Netanyahu highlights the growing defence alliance between Israel and India, which could shift the power dynamics in the region.
