Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved a significant reduction in diesel prices, aiming to provide immediate relief to consumers.

According to an official notification, the price of diesel has been reduced by Rs32.12, bringing it down from Rs385.54 to Rs353.43 per litre.

The decision was approved on Friday as part of the government’s efforts to ease the financial burden on the public amid rising living costs.

In a statement, the prime minister said providing relief to citizens remains a top priority, adding that the benefits of reduced fuel prices should be passed on to the public as quickly as possible.

Officials confirmed that the revised prices have come into effect immediately.
