A 35 year old man identified as Fazal took his own life by hanging from a tree in the Gulshan-e-Hadeed area of Karachi, allegedly due to unemployment.
Rescue personnel discovered his body on Monday, which was subsequently transported to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal procedures.
In a video message, Fazal’s wife revealed that he had expressed despair over their financial situation. “We have two kids. My husband would say he could not see the children hungry.”
She recounted his departure from home, during which he indicated his intention to end his life, despite her efforts to dissuade him.
The deceased was also a drug addict, contributing to his mental health struggles.
