Out-of-control tankers crush two motorcyclists in Karachi, one tanker set on fire

Despite ongoing concerns over traffic safety, Karachi witnessed another day of deadly road accidents as heavy vehicles claimed multiple lives.

In separate incidents across the city, four people lost their lives, while others sustained injuries.

In Gulshan-e-Iqbal, near Safari Park, a tanker ran over two motorcyclists, leaving one dead and the other injured.

Enraged by the incident, locals set the tanker on fire in protest.

A similar tragedy unfolded in Landhi’s Future Colony, where a speeding tanker crushed a motorcyclist.

CCTV footage of the incident has been obtained by Aaj News, capturing the horrifying moment.

In another accident near Sharea Faisal’s Faran Hotel, two people were killed when a speeding car crashed into a motorcycle.

Eyewitnesses reported that the car was moving at an extremely high speed and dragged the motorcyclist for a considerable distance after impact.

Following the collision, the car repeatedly hit the footpath before coming to a stop. One of the victims was identified as 43-year-old Shakeel Haider, a bike service rider, while the second person’s identity remains unknown. The bodies were shifted to Jinnah Hospital.

In SITE Area, a factory worker, Waqas Majeed, was killed after being struck by a truck. Police arrested the driver involved in the incident.

At Numaish Chowrangi, another accident claimed the life of a man named Raza, while Owais sustained injuries.

Water tanker crashes

Meanwhile, in Qayyumabad, a water tanker met with an accident on the KPT Bridge while trying to avoid a motorcyclist.

According to police, the motorcyclist was injured in the incident, while the tanker’s front tires detached due to the impact.

The crash caused severe traffic congestion on the bridge.

Police revealed that the accident occurred because the motorcyclist’s chain had come loose, forcing him to stop in the middle of the road while the tanker approached from behind.
