Teenager shot dead during robbery in Karachi

Karachi witnessed another tragic incident of robbery-related violence as 17-year-old Muzaffar Iqbal was shot and killed while returning home from Fajr prayer in the Janjal Pura Goth area of Korangi on January 15.

This marks the third robbery-related death in the city since the beginning of the year.The incident occurred when four armed robbers, fleeing after looting a nearby house, opened fire on Muzaffar after he raised the alarm.

According to SSP Korangi Kamran Khan, the young boy was fatally shot on the spot.In response to the incident, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Zaman Town and the local checkpoint in-charge have been suspended.

This shooting follows two previous robbery-related fatalities earlier in January, highlighting the ongoing issue of street crime in Karachi.
