Indian actor Mushtaq Khan has reportedly been kidnapped under the guise of an event invitation and subjected to 12 hours of torture. His business partner recounted the traumatic experience, which took place on the Delhi-Meerut highway.
Khan was allegedly invited to an event, with flight tickets and an advance payment sent to his account. Upon arriving at Delhi airport, he was directed to a car that took him to a remote area near Bijnor.
His partner, Shivam, revealed that the kidnappers demanded a ransom of one crore and withdrew over 2 lakh Indian rupees from Khan and his son’s bank accounts.
“Mushtaq and his family are deeply shaken but determined to file an FIR once he regains his composure. I went to Bijnor yesterday and officially reported the incident. We have evidence including flight tickets, bank statements, and CCTV footage from near the airport. Khan recognizes the neighborhood and the house where he was held, so I believe the police will apprehend the culprits soon,” Shivam stated.

Concerned by the incident, Shivam noted that it’s alarming that two public figures from the industry have faced similar situations. “We were unaware of the severity of the case until after Mushtaq returned and discussed it with friends. The recent media coverage of Sunil’s case brought our attention to these alarming events. It’s shocking that two celebrities have endured such trauma, and we hope for greater awareness and protection in the future for everyone in the industry.”
