Tremors from a 5.3 magnitude earthquake were felt across various cities in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while Islamabad was also affected.
The earthquake struck at 10:13am, affecting the federal capital and several cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.
Areas including Peshawar, Abbottabad, Swat, Shangla, Mardan, Malakand, Buner, Mohmand, Charsadda, and Attock reported feeling the tremors.
The quake caused panic among residents, many of whom rushed outside their homes and shops while reciting prayers. Fortunately, there have been no initial reports of injuries or damage to property.
The earthquake monitoring center indicated that the epicenter was located in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, with a depth of 220 km.
