EasyPaisa has cleared the air over claims of blocking the accounts which are accounts not linked to users’ mobile phone numbers and CNIC (National Identity Card) numbers will be blocked by the central bank.
The company says that EasyPaisa accounts are not being blocked based on this criterion, and there has been no official statement from the central bank to support these assertions.
Nutshell Communications, which manages public relations for EasyPaisa, has publicly denied the claims, labeling them as misinformation. It shared an official statement from EasyPaisa refuting the allegations.
The company took to its official X and Facebook accounts, stating that rumors regarding account closures and service disruptions are completely unfounded.
The platform reassured users that all EasyPaisa accounts remain fully operational and that services continue without interruption.
