Most cities to remain hot and dry, but some could receive rain soon

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a forecast indicating hot and dry weather across most parts of the country, with some regions expected to experience rain.

The weather is likely to remain hot and dry in various regions, including Islamabad and its surrounding areas with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and most districts of Punjab. However, the higher districts of KP may see partly cloudy skies.

In Balochistan, most districts are expected to remain hot and dry. However, areas such as Barkhan, Awaran, Khuzdar, and nearby regions may experience gusty winds accompanied by thunderstorms and localized rain.

From September 30 to October 6, 2024, the hot and dry conditions may dominate across most regions of the country.

On October 4, there may be isolated rain and thunderstorms in parts of Kashmir, while on October 5, similar weather patterns are expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and central and southern Punjab.

By October 6, hot and dry weather will continue, with isolated rain and thunderstorms possible in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The PMD predicted that the sky in Karachi is partly cloudy, with hot and humid weather expected over the next 24 hours.

According to the Met Office, the maximum temperature in the city is likely to reach 35 degrees Celsius, while the current temperature is recorded at 28 degrees Celsius, with a minimum temperature of 27.5 degrees Celsius.

The heat index feels 33 degrees Celsius, and winds are blowing from the west 15 kilometers per hour speed.
