Punjab Police plans crackdown on PTI ahead of Lahore rally

Police have prepared their action plan for a possible Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally in Lahore on September 21.

Police officials have assigned the task of arresting the remaining suspects involved in the May 9 incidents to all SHOs.

Police officials say all divisional SPs will oversee the crackdown. The police have also prepared their action plan for the possible rally.

According to police officials, the final security decision will be made once the venue of the rally is finalized.

Security duty will be deployed upon receiving permission from the district administration. The entry gates of the possible rally venue will be recorded by cameras.

Police officials further said that officers deployed at the entry gates will have pictures and data of the wanted suspects from May 9.
