Driver of PTI Sindh President shot dead in Karachi

The drive of the Sindh President PTI Haleem Adil Sheikh has been shot dead by unknown assailants near Chakar Hotel on the Super Highway, in Karachi.

The incident occurred in the vicinity of Chakar Hotel, where the driver was found murdered.

The victim, identified as 45-year-old Shahnawaz, had two bullet wounds and was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal procedures, according to a rescue official.

Police reported that the victim had left home on his motorcycle at 7am, carrying a licensed pistol. Neither the motorcycle nor the pistol was present at the scene where the body was discovered.

Authorities believe that the driver may have been killed at a different location and that his body was later dumped near the hotel.

Haleem Adil Sheikh is a Pakistani politician who served as a member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh from August 2018 to August 2023. He was the Leader of the Opposition in the assembly from January 2021 to July 2023 and acted as the parliamentary leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Sindh from August 2018 to January 2021. Currently, he is the President of PTI for Sindh.
