Man presumed dead after shooting resurfaces alive in Karachi
A shooting incident occurred near Jam Sadiq Bridge in the Korangi industrial area of Karachi, where a man initially believed to be dead was later found to be alive.
Police were notified about a body near the bridge, and upon their arrival, rescue volunteers declared the individual dead. The victim was noted to be without breath and had no pulse, leading to the conclusion that he was deceased.
The presumed corpse was transported to the hospital for confirmation of death. But as doctors examined the individual in the emergency room, he was unexpectedly found to be alive.
The critically injured man was swiftly moved to the ICU and then to the operating theatre. During the surgery, he fell into a coma.
The injured man was identified as Irfan, who had sustained a gunshot wound to the head in what appeared to be an assassination attempt. The investigation revealed that Irfan’s wife’s ex-husband, Shahzad, was allegedly involved in the assassination attempt.
Police are searching for the suspect, Shahzad, as the investigation continues.
