Karachi is currently experiencing a heatwave with temperatures expected to reach a scorching 39°C today. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has reported that the city will experience a two-day hiatus in sea breezes, contributing to the intense heat.
The current weather conditions in the city are partly cloudy with winds blowing from the northwest at a speed of 10 kilometers per hour. The PMD has also predicted a chance of light rain and drizzle in the evening and night.
The current temperature in Karachi is 33°C, with a heat index of 42°C, indicating a higher perceived temperature due to humidity. The humidity level is currently at 67%.
The PMD forecasts that the weather will remain hot and humid for the next 24 hours.

However, a new spell of monsoon winds is expected to enter the city on July 18, bringing with it the possibility of heavy rainfall starting from July 20.
The city still ranks 27th on the list of most polluted cities globally and 4th in Pakistan. The current particulate matter (PM2.5) level in the air is recorded at 68 µg/m³.
