Shaukat Yousafzai offloaded from Islamabad airport

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shaukat Yousafzai was barred from traveling to the United Kingdom on Saturday, being offloaded at Islamabad airport by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) due to his name being on the Exit Control List (ECL).

Yousafzai, who was traveling to meet his daughter, had already received his boarding pass but was stopped by the FIA at the airport. He was informed that his name was on the ECL and therefore he was not allowed to travel.

The PTI leader expressed his frustration, stating that he was being stopped without any reason and would be approaching the High Court to have his name removed from the ECL.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time Yousafzai has been prevented from traveling. In November last year, he was offloaded at Peshawar Airport while on his way to perform Umrah.

Prior to his offloading, Yousafzai had maintained that his name was not on the ECL and that he had no pending FIRs against him. He had claimed to have cleared all necessary procedures before being abruptly offloaded.
