Several cities likely to get thunderstorms, rains

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted the possibility of thunderstorms, gusty winds, and rainfall in different areas of Pakistan.

The department has predicted that Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, and northern Punjab are likely to experience thunderstorms with strong winds and heavy rainfall.

In the evening or night, lower KP, northeastern Balochistan, and central and southern Punjab are expected to see gusty winds, thunderstorms, and rainfall, with a few areas potentially receiving very heavy downpours.

The Meteorological Department has also stated that Islamabad and its surroundings are expected to have hot weather during the day, followed by thunderstorms, gusty winds, and rainfall at some places in the evening or night.

The areas that are likely to experience these weather conditions include Murree, Gilgit, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Mianwali, Khushab, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Jhang, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Qasur, Lahore, Okara, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, and Narowal, where thunderstorms and rainfall are expected at some places.

During the night, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Taunsa, Multan, Muzaffargarh, Khanewal, Sahiwal, Bahawalnagar, and Bahawalpur are likely to experience thunderstorms, gusty winds, and rainfall, with the possibility of heavy downpours at certain locations.

Similarly, the areas of Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Peshawar, Mardan, Karak, and Kohat are also expected to see thunderstorms and rainfall at some places.

PMD predicted thunderstorms, gusty winds, and rainfall are expected in the evening or night at some places in Kohat, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank, Waziristan, and Dera Ismail Khan.

Most districts of Balochistan are likely to experience hot and dry weather. However, in the evening or night, Quetta, Ziarat, Zhob, Sherani, Kohlu, Musakhel, Loralai, Sibi, Nasirabad, Jaffarabad, Dera Bugti, and Barkhan are expected to see thunderstorms, gusty winds, and rainfall, with the possibility of heavy downpours at certain locations.

The upper districts of Sindh province are expected to experience hot weather, while the coastal areas will see hot and humid conditions. However, the southern and central districts of Sindh are likely to witness dusty winds and the possibility of gusty winds during the afternoon.

In the evening or night, Sukkur, Ghotki, Kashmore, and Jacobabad are expected to see thunderstorms, gusty winds, and rainfall in some areas.

In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, partially cloudy skies are anticipated, along with the possibility of strong winds and rainfall at certain places accompanied by thunderstorms.
