PMD predicts wind, thunderstorm rains from June 18 to 22
Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted wind, rain and thunderstorms in different areas of Pakistan from June 18 to 22.
Thunderstorms and rain are expected in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on Friday evening/night and Saturday morning. However, the weather is forecast to be hot and dry in these areas from June 16 to 17. From June 18 to 22, intermittent periods of rain, wind, and thunderstorms are predicted, particularly in parts of Gilgit-Baltistan and the Kashmir region.
PMD has predicted thunderstorms and rain are expected in northern and central districts of KP, including Dir, Swat, Malakand, Bajaur, Kohistan, Chitral, and others, on Friday and Saturday.
The KP’s southern parts hot and dry weather from June 16 to 18 is expected with intermittent rain, wind, and thunderstorms are forecasted for districts like Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, and others, with occasional gaps in the stormy pattern from June 18 to 22.
In Punjab, including Murree, Galliyat, Rawalpindi, Bhakkar, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Okara, Kasur, Nankana Sahib, Lahore, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Wazirabad, Sialkot, Narowal, and Gujranwala will likely to experience thunderstorm and rain.
However, very hot and dry weather is likely to prevail in most parts of the province from June 16th to 18th. From June 18 to 22, rain, wind, thundershowers, and dust storms (with a few heavy falls) are forecasted for Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, and several other northern and central Punjab districts, with occasional gaps in the stormy pattern.

Rain, thunderstorms, snowfall expected in different parts of Pakistan
In Balochistan, dust storms, thunderstorms, and rain are forecasted for districts such as Quetta, Zhob, Kohlu, Musakhel, Loralai, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Jaffarabad, Dera Bugti, and Barkhan from June 20 to 22.
Hot and dry conditions are likely to prevail across most of the province from June 17 to 20 in Sindh. On 21 and 22, dust storms, gusty winds, and isolated rain-thunderstorms are expected in the northern Sindh districts of Sukkur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, and Larkana.
