A local court in Gujranwala has sentenced a police constable to death for his involvement in a murder case.
Additional Sessions Judge Zafaryab handed down the sentence after finding Constable Afnan guilty of the crime.
Afnan was also sentenced to 14 years imprisonment under other sections and ordered to pay a fine of Rs. 500,000 to the heirs of the deceased.
Two other individuals involved in the case were also sentenced to 35 years imprisonment each by Judge Zafar Yab.

The constable, along with two other accomplices, had abducted and murdered a citizen over a property dispute last December.
They then disposed of the body by throwing it into a canal.
