Govt compiles record of Chinese nationals living in Islamabad

In a move to enhance security measures and ensure the safety of Chinese citizens residing in the city, the Islamabad Police has successfully organized the data of Chinese residents.

According to sources, a comprehensive report regarding the Chinese population has been sent to the Ministry of Interior, revealing that there are 4,000 Chinese nationals residing in the city.

The report highlights that approximately 250 Chinese students are currently pursuing education in various universities across the city. Additionally, more than 1,000 Chinese residents are connected to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project, which aims to strengthen economic ties between the two nations.

In response to the Ministry of Interior’s directives, special measures are being taken to enhance the security of Chinese citizens. Safe city cameras will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and security of Chinese residents.

These security measures are being implemented in accordance with the Ministry’s guidance.
