Karachi experiences heatwave like weather

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that Karachi will experience intense hot weather for the next three to four days, with temperatures expected to soar between 36 to 38 degrees Celsius.

Karachi and its adjacent areas are likely to experience hot weather during the day and gentle winds during the evening.

The temperature was expected to rise to 38 degrees Celsius on Monday.

Sunday was recorded as the hottest day of 2024 in the city as temperature rose to 37 degrees Celsius.

New weather system to bring more rains over next three days

PMD has stated that the humidity level in the city is currently at 55%.

The humidity level in the air is anticipated to reach a range of 40% to 50%.

The northern areas of Karachi are experiencing strong winds, with speeds recorded between 20 to 25 kilometres per hour.

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions to stay safe and cool during this period.
