The woman whose hit and run accident Islamabad had gone viral on social media as been arrested from Rawalpindi.
Police in Rawalpindi’s Naseerabad arrested the woman, who has been identified as Farah.
The vehicle used by the woman in the incident has also been found and taken into custody.
Rawalpindi police said it had used ‘latest technology’ to arrest the woman.
Police had sprung into action after the incident’s video went viral on social media. However, it had been revealed that the incident’s FIR was registered on January 2.

The incident began with a verbal altercation between the woman and the motorway police officers.
The video footage shows the officer being thrown onto the bonnet of the car before falling to the ground. The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.
A police car immediately rushed to chase the woman’s car, which also broke a barrier.
