Students protest against re-conduct of MDCAT in Sindh

The decision of the Sindh caretaker government related to the re-take of the Medical & Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) has triggered student protests in Karachi.

The students who attempted MDCAT 2023 staged a protest at Karachi Press Club against caretaker authorities of Sindh who said on Thursday that MDCAT would be taken again, in this regard, the provincial government has issued directives to the Dow University of Health Sciences.

The students refused to attempt re-conduct and were warned to extend the protest.

The development in Sindh had come after the decision of the Peshawar High Court, as the KP was also facing the same situation in the matter.

However, students alongside their parents chanted slogans against the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) and Jinnah Sindh Medical University and condemned the decision.

They demanded instead of re-taking exams take action against those who were involved in revealing questionnaires before exams.
