The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority has increased the rates of liquified petroleum gas by nearly Rs40, a day after the petrol rates topped Rs300 in Pakistan.
The LPG price has been increased by Rs38.97, according to a notification.
The announcement has further added to the pain of people in Pakistan who were already grappling with inflated electricity bills, which they have to pay, and soaring petrol prices.
The cylinders, which have been used by many households after gas load-shedding, would be more expensive. An 11.8kg cylinder would now cost Rs2,833.
