Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that Pakistan will request Saudi Arabia to take action against those who shouted slogans at Masjid-e-Nabvi and misbehaved with ministers.
Addressing a press conference along with Adviser to Prime Minister on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Qamar Zaman Kaira in Islamabad, Sanaullah said that the incident that took place in Masjid-e-Nabvi Thursday was planned.
Commenting on former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed’s statement before the incident, Sanaullah said that Imran Khan and Rasheed’s “planning is on the record.”
“If you want to fight with us, do it democratically,” the minister said, adding that boundaries shouldn’t be crossed while fighting democratically.
The minister said the Saudi government will also be requested to provide Pakistan identification of the culprits. He said the Law Ministry will be asked to advise on how to proceed against these people.
Referring to the incident that took place at Masjid-e-Nabvi, he said that Nawazada Shahzain Bugti was physically assaulted while Marriyum Aurangzeb was harassed.
“My ministry is going to make a humble request to the Saudi government to take appropriate action in this regard so that such behaviour is controlled. We will also apprise them that the whole nation passed through a stressful period when they came to know what happened at the holy mosque.”
He said such elements should be deported as they must not be permitted to stay any more on the holy land.
The minister said Imran Khan should refrain from spreading anarchy and hatred in the country only to achieve his political objectives. He said the former prime minister is also targeting institutions for this purpose.
He said Imran Khan will have to answer the people for his bad governance during the last four years.
Qamar Zaman Kaira also condemned the act. He said Imran Khan must shun the practice of spreading hatred and creating divisions among people for his own interests. He said Imran Khan’s politics is the politics of fascism with the belief that only he and his party have the right to live in this country.
