Nowadays, the Covid vaccination drive is in full swing in Pakistan. On average, 130k-150k people are being vaccinated daily. The government has been amping up the immunization campaign for the past couple of months and has done a commendable job.
In Ramadan, the vaccination centers kept working day and night to facilitate the general public. To keep up the vaccination pace, now the government has decided to close the vaccination centers for only two days on Eid-ul-Fitr meaning there will be no jabs given on the first and second day of Eid across the country.
This was announced by the Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar via his Twitter handle yesterday.
Umar, who also heads the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), while giving the public daily updates regarding the vaccination campaign of the country, tweeted:
Please note that vaccination centers are open and will only be closing for two days on Eid.
