ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid, who had contracted the coronavirus last year, Monday received the first dose of Made in China sinopharm vaccine.
Later, talking to 24News, Rashid said all speculations casting doubts on the effectiveness of the coronavirus vaccine following Prime Minister Imran Khan tested positive for the virus after having been administered the vaccine were an international conspiracy since the vaccine was manufactured in China.
“Today, at CDA Hospital four thousand people, including me, received a dose of the Chinese vaccine, and none of us has any issues with it,” he clarified. The minister said yesterday (Sunday), the federal cabinet had also fixed the vaccine price for private firms.
Expressing concern that the nation was not following the coronavirus-related standard operating procedures (SOPs), he said this showed that people were not afraid of the pandemic. “Therefore, there is a need to strictly ensure implementation on the SOPs,” he asserted. NNI
