Ways To Save Yourself From Heatstrokes

People can prevent exhaustion, dehydration or heatstroke in high temperatures by being wary of what to do, to wear and what to take when they leave their homes.

Heavy coffee drinkers, drinking up to three to five cups of coffee a day, need to lessen their caffeine consumption as it increases dehydration. One cup is more than enough.

Same goes for alcoholic drinks; as they too increase dehydration and they need to be careful if they wish not to fall sick.

Loose clothing is the answer to all your warm weather troubles. Tight clothing tends to gather up body heat; As dark clothes like black absorb heat, white on the contrary are the ones suitable for hot weather, for they dissipate heat. Although the most important thing is water, one should carry a bottle of water on them where ever they go to avoid dehydration.

For all the fitness freaks, you can still work out in the early morning or evening when the sun is not up to avoid exhaustion and sunstroke.

To keep your residence cool, close your windows and curtain to keep the temperature as low as possible; and when it is cooler outside in the evening, open those windows to get cross ventilation and to reduce heat.

Many people believe that handmade fans actually are helpful, but that is something absolutely far from the truth. Handmade fans consume body energy and increase core body temperatures and this should be avoided at all cost. You can keep drinking extra water, around ten glasses in the span of 24 hours even if you are not thirsty.

Good body hydration can be had by drinking fresh fruit juices like pineapple, oranges, apples and cucumber. “Juices from these fruits can help hydrate the body with natural water and vitamins.”
