1 min readSecurity forces killed seven alleged India-backed terrorists, including a suicide bomber, during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Noshki district, the military’s media wing said on Saturday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched after intelligence reports about the presence of terrorists linked to Fitna al-Hindustan in the area.
The ISPR said security forces kept the militant hideout under surveillance before carrying out a swift surgical operation, destroying the hideout and killing all seven terrorists present, including a suicide bomber.
During the operation, security forces also destroyed a cache of weapons and improvised explosive devices (IEDs), the statement added.
The military said search and clearance operations were continuing in the area to eliminate any remaining terrorists.
The ISPR reiterated that the security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to eradicating foreign-backed terrorism from the country under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision, vowing to continue counterterrorism operations until the threat is eliminated.
