The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs13 per kilogram for August 2026, adding to the financial burden on consumers.

According to a notification issued by the regulator, the official LPG price has been raised from Rs241 to Rs254 per kilogram, effective from August 1.

Following the increase, the price of an 11.8kg domestic LPG cylinder has risen by Rs152, taking its official price from Rs2,849 to Rs3,001.

The price of a commercial LPG cylinder has also been increased by Rs585, from Rs10,961 to Rs11,546.

The revised prices will come into effect from August 1, 2026, under OGRA’s monthly price adjustment mechanism.

The latest increase comes as households continue to face rising living costs, with LPG remaining a key cooking fuel in many parts of the country, particularly in areas not connected to the natural gas network.
